Dave Nicholas

Professor of Library and Information Studies and Director of the School of Library, Archive and Information Studies, University College London

Dave is the director for the Centre for Information Behaviour and the Evaluation of Research (ciber), and was Head of the Information Science Department until recently (1998-2003). He has over thirty years experience as an information researcher. He was the principal researcher on several projects funded by organisation such as the NHS, the DoH, ESRC and Nokia and has amass funding grants of over £800,000. He also provides consultancy services to a number of organisations including BBC World News Service, News International and the Volunteers Centre UK.

Dave lectures on several modules and currently supervises nine PhD students. He also sits on the assessment board of several other UK universities and is an external assessor for AHRB, ESRC, and EPSRC funding bodies.
